The
International Reggae Masters
|
|
|
| Phillip
Pickering is the glue that binds the group together. |
| Determined
to be the best that they can possibly be, is his |
| objective.
He lives for the music. "Grasshopper", as he is |
| affectionately
called, is one of the two lead vocalists in the group. |
| He
is the lead and rhythm guitarist and plays many other |
| instruments.
Also a songwriter and arranger of sorts "Grass" has |
| no
formal training. In his words, "It's just a gift and so I give thanks". |

| Alvin
Pickering, brother of "Grasshopper" and bassist of the group, |
| is
the group's comedian. A bass player of only eight years, and self- |
| taught,
he manages to crank out a sweet but thundering bass line |
| every
time. Unique to the trio's harmony is "Jupiter's" backing |
| vocals.
He primarily sings in a falsetto voice which can be heard |
| blending
nicely in the sweet harmonies the group has created. |

JUPITER

|
| Yes,
he is definitely different! Born in Kingston, Jamaica, West |
| Indies,
he grew up in an era when Reggae was evolving. You feel |
| that
influence in his style. Undoubtedly, one of the best song |
| writers
of our time, Paul Samms, "Mr. Percussionist", can arrange |
| music
with no musical background, and make you step up to the |
| floor
willingly. |
